The end of the month of Ramzan is marked by Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. Muslims dress in fine/new clothing and children receive gifts on Eid al-Fitr. During this holy month, Muslims are required to keep away from eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset.

On Eid day, meals or fairs are held at different places. In several houses, a special food “Swain” or sweets is made and distributed among others. Rows of lights are lighted up at night. All people, young and old, wear new clothes.

The Eid-ul-Fitr is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims across the world that marks the end of the month Ramadan. Eid is the only day in the Ramadan month when Muslims don’t want to have fast. The Eid-ul-Fitr was originated by the Prophet Muhammad. These traditions were first started in Mecca.

Eid is the most important festival of the Muslims. A month before is the month of Ramadan in which Muslims keep day-long fasts and read the Quran regularly at the appointed times. Muslims take a vow to do good to others, not to commit thefts or undertake any other evil activities and to tell the truth.
